Kale Lemongrass Smoothie

This smoothie has been my latest obsession! I know green smoothies can be a little scary when changing your lifestyle because they look like they will taste like veggies or something, but the key is choosing the right ingredients and adding a fruity touch so that it will actually taste surprisingly well. This smoothie is so amazing because it's a classic simple green smoothie with a zingy twist through the added lemongrass. 
Lemongrass actually has some amazing health benefits as it's very rich in essential vitamins and minerals which help boost your immune system! It's main component is lemonal which is anti fungal and great for detoxing as it helps cleanse toxic wastes out of the body. 

makes about two glasses:
1 handful of kale
1 banana
1 stem of lemongrass
2 pitted dates

Blend together with a cup of water and enjoy! If you want it to be really cold, you can freeze the kale and the banana so it will be super refreshing and energising.
