Trick Or Treat

In honour of Halloween Week over here at JCHQ (is it pretentious to call my desk(top) my HQ?!) this week’s outfit post is the most halloween-y it will get with my style. So not at all. I did my best by having red leaves and a black (creepy) garage door as a backdrop.
Every year I fight autumn with my whole being and only give in shortly before halloween (so now), but the time has come for me to do the scariest thing of all: store away my summer clothes. It’s like the world is playing a (really bad) trick on you…
For as long as I can imagine fall has always meant jeans, boots and jumpers (read: I’m-bored-with-myself-outfits), but this season, after the creative whirlwind that has been fashion week, I feel a little more inspired.
Just because it’s cold outside it doesn’t mean you have to completely pack away you summer clothes (although do put away bikinis and shorts - she writes trying not to cry), it’s just a matter of how you are wearing it.
Treat yourself to one summer item for each look to bring some joy to your soul, by simply layering it with your autumn/winter clothes.
I guess you can imagine what item I can’t give away like candy (failed metaphor for storing away in closet).

What are you holding on to with your vampire teeth?
Happy almost-halloween everyone, stay tuned for scaaaary recipes x
